Ypres and Brugges

Off to Ypres and Brugges for three days with the school. We're heading out to the WWI battlefields and cemeteries, preparing our sixth form for their final A Level module. I guess we're hoping they get something out of it. I'm sure they will. The trip has been a bugger to organise, what with all the red tape that goes with school excursions these days but now it's here I'm looking forward to it. The new novel started its life in Brugges during a holiday some eighteen months ago. Now it's well on the way to completion and with the Easter holidays coming I have no excuse not to do exactly that!!!
